Prostate Cancer – The junk in your junk

Prostate cancer is what most (80%) men who live to 80 will encounter, by age 40 almost half of men (40%) will have it. Though it might not affect them it is wise for all men to be clued up on the subject.

With age, every man’s prostate will enlarge and that is what increases the chances of some of those cells become cancerous. This might not be fatal but a diagnosis and its treatment changes your healthy body into a warzone, that is what ends up killing you. Treating cancer takes a major toll on the human body and you do not want to go through it, unless you really have to.
Prostate cancer treatment will have you dealing with impotence, incontinence, heart attacks and even death from treatment of tiny tumours that never would have killed you in the first place.

Let me give you a cheat, ginger root. That is the “miracle cure” for prostate cancer, start adding it to your supplement regiment today, you will thank yourself in the future. The British Journal of Nutrition published the results of an American study recently in which ginger extract (zingiber officinale) actually killed human prostate cancer cells while healthy prostate cells did not die. The results occurred at a daily dose of 100 mg of ginger extract per kg of body weight (based on a man weighing 70kg this equals about 550 mg extract per day). In eight weeks, the ginger extract slashed prostate tumour growth in half. The researchers have estimated that 100 grams of fresh ginger eaten daily will offer the same results.
As a cancer champion, ginger has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antiproliferative effects upon tumours making ginger a promising chemopreventive agent. Whole ginger extract holds significant growth-inhibitory and death-inductory effects in a spectrum of cancer cells by interrupting cancer cell-cycle progression, impairing cancer reproduction and modulating apoptosis.

There are studies showing that men consuming large amounts of synthetic folic acid and zinc oxide are more likely to develop prostate cancer. Men also taking large amounts of high-dose multi-vitamins develop prostate cancer more frequently. On the other hand, other studies suggest that fish oil, magnesium, curcumin, broccoli and lycopene (found in tomato products) help protect men against cancer. Avoiding all GMO foods and processed foods along with their litany of chemical additives is a must for prostate health. Maintaining a low-carb diet is also known to reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer.

It is advised that you do your own research and apply this knowledge to your own life, you have the best knowledge on your lifestyle.
Taking care of your body has a lot to do with diet but exercise is also important. It is a well-documented fact that being overweight is a contributor to ill health. Get out and go running with your family and dogs, go for a hike, etc. Just get that blood pumping and your body will love you for it.
Your prostate health is your responsibility and you should take charge of it right now.
